Paul Houston, (Germany). IT professional. A life-long student of military history who specializes in Spartan history, concentrating on the Persian - Greek wars.
Member of the Hoplite Association (U.K.), and Hetairoi (Germany).

Romilos Fronimides, (Greece). A keen artist since childhood, Romilos successfully completed his studies in a private art college. Preferring to work in the area of comic publishing and History & Fantasy he "landed" hard into the reality of his line of work and has been employed as an illustrator/cartoonist/computer graphic designer since 1994. The year 2000 saw him employed as the illustrator/cartoonist/senior CG designer for the Greek department of GREY WORLD WIDE advertising.
He completed his military service as a sergeant in the Greek Air Force(Special Air Guard & Defence Service). Married to a fine Peloponnesian woman and continually "lost" in his "private" world.... The Lacedaimonian society of Ancient Greek Classic Times.

Jim Carrozza, (U.S.A.) For the past twenty-seven years Jim has been involved in the graphics field in
Second only to his love and appreciation of art has been his ongoing interest in ancient history. In Jim´s opinion, these are stories that must be told, so that we may better understand who and what we are and what we may ultimately become. In an effort to do just that, he has applied his talents to illustrations of the historical subject matter.

Steven Pressfield, (U.S.A.) best-selling author of "Gates of Fire, Tides of War, Last of the Amazons and Virtues of War".
Mr.Pressfield is an honorary citizen of Sparta and is a driving force in bringing the history of the ancient world to a wider public.

Chris Pangalos, (U.S.A.) former U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Sergeant and Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor, Chris is an avid military history buff with a profound respect for the ancient Spartan way of life. A former high school, college & semi-pro soccer star, Chris now works for a major pharmaceutical firm while also running his award-winning disc jockey entertainment company, Rolling Thunder Productions.
Chris and his beautiful wife Natalie have a son named Christopher (a future Spartan Marine in the making!!) In his spare time (of which he has very little!) Chris enjoys cruising on his Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic motorcycle (custom painted with various scenes of Spartans battling Persians).

Jon Edward Martin, (U.S.A.) author of " In Kithairon´s Shadow and Shades of Artemis". In Kithairon´s Shadow covers the battle of Platea, Shades of Artemis is a novel about the Spartan Brasidas.
Mr.Martin resides in Massachusetts and is currently working on his third novel which will also cover Ancient Greek history.

Stefanos Skarmintzos, (Greece). IT professional. Amature history writer and heraldry enthusiast, specializing in Ancient Greek heraldry.

Allan-Michael Isherwood, (Germany). IT support specialist.
Half Greek, half Jamaican, born in the UK.
Drawn to his Greek heritage, Mr Isherwood spends a lot of his time researching the mythological side of the Ancient Greek world.
Interested in the Human race.....past, present and future !

Dr. Kaveh Farrokh, (Canada). PhD, Lecturer at the University of British Columbia's Continuing Studies Division
Born in Athens, Greece, of Ossetian and Azeri descent.
Dr. Farrokh obtained his undergraduate arts degree in May 1985 and his Ph.D. on September 24, 2001 from the University of British Columbia, where he specialized on the cognitive and linguistic processes of Persian speakers.
Dr. Farrokh speaks English, German, French, and Persian. He also has a working understanding of at least three living languages, Provençal, Italian, Dutch, and Kurmanji Kurdish, as well as two ancient languages, Latin and Pahlavi.
Dr. Farrokh has been writing since the early 1990's and has contributed articles to internationally recognized academic journals such as the International Journal of the Sociology of Language and chapters for books such as the International Book of Dyslexia: A Cross-Language Comparison and Practice Guide (Wiley, 2004).
The History Channel has also interviewed and filmed Dr. Farrokh on the topic of technology in ancient Persia (which appeared in October 2006). He also serves as a member of the Persian Gulf Preservation Society.

Fred Haskin, (U.S.A). Residing in Southern California, Mr Haskin works for the federal service on a Marine base. He served in the American Airforce in the 1970´s, based at RAF Lakenheath (U.K.).
Having a life long interest in Ancient Greece and Sparta, Mr Haskin shares the common goal which all of the Spartan World team members have, bring a greater awareness to the true face of the Spartan culture.
